Readers from Back in the Day

Before children learned to read using iPads or by puzzling through the information screens on video games, they learned by reading simple books called Readers. The L. Tom Perry Special Collections has a new small case display featuring copies of readers from our collections.

We invite you to stop by room 1130 on level 1 of the library and take a look.

For a little fun try entering some of the text from this phonetic reader into your word processor. See how well the spell checker likes it.
