- About Us
The Music & Dance Help Desk provides reference and circulation services, library use instruction, and collection development service in support of the BYU School of Music and Department of Dance. It also supports the musical enrichment of the entire campus, local community custom research paper and world wide membership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Music & Dance collections rank among the finest and most respected of the nation. In addition to a substantial core collection of books, scores, sound recordings and journals, the collections are distinguished by extensive holdings of manuscripts, special collections and archives.
Two of the most notable special collections are The International Harp Archives and The Primrose International Viola Archive. Total holdings are estimated to exceed 500,000 titles. The facilities feature a spacious listening lab, a beautifully appointed reference and reading room, a technology enhanced seminar room, and a state-of-the-art audio and video preservation lab.
