Movie Review | Spirited Away

Spirited Away (PN 1995.9 .A53 D64 2003) by the famous Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, follows a girl named Chihiro and her parents as they move to their new home. On their way, they stumble across a seemingly abandoned amusement park. Although, the park is anything but ordinary, in fact it is a vacation spot for spirits. When Chihiro’s parents are turned into pigs, Chihiro is forced to work at this supernatural spa in order to free herself and her parents.

This coming of age film shows how Chihiro grows as a character in strength, hope, and determination. This will perhaps be one of the greatest animated movies ever. From the uniqueness of the story to the astonishing animation, this movie takes imagination to a whole other level. Studio Ghibli never fails to put out great movies; I guarantee the magic of this movie will blow you away and you’ll love it just like everyone else.
