Occupational Outlook (Electronic)
The Occupational Outlook Handbook describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations. Revised every two years.

Vault Online Career Library(Electronic) The Vault Online Career Library contains the following: 77 Vault Guidebooks: The Guidebooks cover a broad range of disciplines and include industry guides, employer rankings, and job seeking skills. Contains up-to date company profiles for more than 3,000 employers. Vault obtains �insider information� by surveying thousands of employees each year. The Vault Research Team takes real quotations from the surveys, giving you the hard-to-get, company culture information. Provides articles that cover a broad range of disciplines, giving you quick, easy-to-read profiles of industries and occupations. Contains message boards with access to the Internet�s most popular company-specific Message Boards, the Vault Electronic WaterCooler. Here you have access to conversations with employees at their targeted companies, and altogether 2 million Message Board postings. It also contains over 1,100 Career Advice Articles covering a broad range of career topics, from resumes to summer internships to employee rights.

Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance (Print)
MGT/ECON/GOV INFO HF 5381.E52 This encyclopedia covers two aspects of career information. Volume 1 covers specific elements of sixty-eight industries and the next three volumes cover specific information on particular jobs and careers. Includes historical information and statistics on current employment and production.

Career Information Center (Print)
HF 5382.5.U5C32 Includes Job summary, profiles, references, web sites, books, employment trends and job outlooks. 13 volumes. The first 12 volumes each focus on a different career area, and contain over 700 job profiles. Each profile includes a job summary chart, a job description, and up-to-date salary information. The 13th volume contains the dictionary of occupational titles, articles with an overview of current employment issues, career opportunities, and outlooks.

Off Campus Access. Indexes public and private company data, including contact names, addresses and telephone numbers, total employees, sales volume and business descriptions. Covers more than 11,000 U.S. & international companies and 53 industries. "Geography Search" provides the largest companies by sales in a city, state or country.

EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval System - http://www.sec.gov/edgar.shtml) (Electronic) Off Campus Access. Financial reports, of U.S. corporations from reports submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Includes annual reports, quarterly reports, balance sheet, income statement, security activity and analysis and much more.

LexisNexis Academic (Electronic)
Off Campus Access. A full-text database which provides full-text access to national & international news, business, legal, and reference information, including federal & state case law, company financials, state statistics, and accounting, auditing & tax information. Includes Hoover Handbooks Reports, Disclosure and Worldscope Reports, and the S&P Standard Corporate Descriptions. All of these reports provide strategic and financial information of publicly held corporations. Go to �Academic Universe,� click on �Business,� click on �Company Financial Information� and change to desired source.

(Electronic) Provides a precise benchmark for evaluating an individual company's financial performance. The performance data is derived from the latest available IRS figures on U.S. and international companies, and tracks 50 operating and financial factors in 192 industries. The almanac provides competitive norms in actual dollar amounts for revenue and capital factors, as well as important average operating costs in percent of net sales.

RMA Annual Statement Studies (Print) -- HF 5681.B2R6 (Latest year in MGT/ECON/GOV INFO, Earlier years in Stacks) The Statement Studies contains composite financial data. Financial statement on each industry are showing in common size and are accompanied by widely used ratios.

U. S. Industry & Trade Outlook (Print)
HC 101 .U54 (Latest year in MGT/ECON/GOV INFO Ref, Earlier years in stacks). Published by the Department of Commerce, this work presents projections and current and historical statistics for over 350 major U.S. industries. The term "industries" is broadly defined; the work includes discussions of such "lines of business" as equipment leasing; travel services; information services; and management, consulting, and public relations services. They've used the data from the information filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission and give detailed instructions on how you can track down executive pay from the Proxy Statements filed with the SEC on all publicly traded U.S. companies.
