Books including information on classical mythology can be found throughout the library, but the main areas are:
L'Année Philologique. The most comprehensive periodical index of the classical world. In French, but indexes articles in all languages, including English. Articles on classical mythology are grouped under section VF "Religions" in the latest volumes (1996-present), or under VD "Histoire religieuse" in earlier volumes. Individual volumes are indexed. Essay and General Literature Index. Very general, but some coverage of

For general background, consult any of the standard encyclopedias (e.g., Encyclopedia Britannica, Encyclopedia Americana, etc.) under "Myth" or related headings. The article "Myth and Mythology" in the Encyclopedia Britannica is particularly good, and has extensive bibliography.
A good standard handbook is Classical Mythology by Mark P.O. Morford and Robert J. Lenardon (New York: Oxford University Press, 1999), BL 722 .M67 1999 (and several earlier editions at the same number). H.J. Rose's Handbook of Greek Mythology (New York: Dutton, 1928), BL 781 .R65, is also good.
